Field Development

Development of a New Discovery Review of various models and data, design of a dynamic model and evaluation of a number of development scenarios. Simulating a Field with Dry and Wet Gas Pools This field consisted of a number of dry, as well as gas condensate pools, all in communication with a common aquifer.  A simulation model was built, history matched and performance projections were made. Tight Reservoir A project to determine the optimum development strategy for this reservoir, which contained large quantities of oil, but was generally considered too tight to be commercially producable. Integrating Existing Reservoir Studies The reservoirs covered a variety of special features, including the presence of a tarmat, heavily faulted structure and massive interference from a nearby giant field.  Work included full geological, basic engineering and numerical modelling.
